Seeking skilled fine art crater/packer with gallery/museum experience.
Responsibilities
Ideal candidate has 1 yr experience in fine art crating and is familiar with common build styles and practices; tray packing, cavity packing, travel frames, etc.
Strong wood shop skills and safe use of shop tools, table saw, chop saw, router, belt sander etc is essential.
Relevant experience in museums or galleries also helpful, as is general experience with storage and managing inventory.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation strongly preferred.
Pay based on experience $ 20 - $ 25/hr with potential for advancement.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate would be able to safely operate the following tools and perform tasked including, but not limited to:
Table saws, chop saw
Router, and common hand tools
Basic shop math, reading, adding and subtracting fractions
Compressor/staple guns
Documentation and paperwork completion
