ArtWorks San Diego (AWSD) Seeks a Full-Time Fine Art Crater
ArtWorks San Diego offers a full range of museum-quality services including climate-controlled storage, in-house crate construction, custom installation and sculpture rigging, weekly shuttles, and world-wide shipping. AWSD is a TSA-Certified Cargo Screening Facility.
This is a full-time, hourly position with a typical work week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00pm. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a TSA background check. Subsidized company healthcare, dental care offered, retirement plan with employer match, paid life Insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time. Position pay is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Work as a Team Member with Crating Staff and Under Supervision
Construct Museum Standard Crates and Travel Frames
Requirements
Strong Understanding of Wood Working Tools and Skills
Strong Understanding of Crate Shop Safety Standards
Strong Understanding of Art Handling Industry Standards
Prior Fine Art Crating Experience Preferred
Knowledge of Installation Materials
Respectful Communication to all Team Members and Clients
