TPK is a fine art logistics company looking for a crate shop technician to join our team. As part of a close-knit crew, fostering a positive work environment is crucial for seamless operations. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, capable of independently managing tasks, taking direction and feedback from team members and possess previous experience in fine art crating and handling.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellent precision, attention to detail, and familiarity with general woodworking techniques, power tool safety, and OSHA compliance standards.

Design and fabricate customized shipping crates for art using a range of tools such as power tools, pneumatic staplers, nail-guns, table and radial saws, and band saws.

Effectively manage inventory of crate shop supplies, promptly notifying the office when replenishment is required.

Maintain and provide reports on the condition of shop equipment as needed.

Perform routine shop maintenance and handle other related duties as assigned.

Proficient in standard crate packing operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols.

Occasionally responsible for handling, moving, and packing artwork and artifacts according to museum standards.

Capable of following directions and adjusting work procedures to align with TPK’s standards and practices.

Hourly wage will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
