We are looking for a passionate while experienced colleague that works in the reception of our art space, managing our contacts (including technicians and PR firms) and dealing with various visitors and workers to the space.

ROLE

  • Assistant and Front of House assistant

  • Location: Vauxhall, London

  • Job Type: Part Time

  • Salary: Hourly rate of £20-£45 per hour, Work 16 hours a week (Working days negotiable)

  • Availability: Immediately

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Item 1: Coordinating essential PR marketing activities of the Foundation, including liaising with PR firms, managing and develop email marketing campaigns to support the Foundation.

Item 2: Managing social media activities for the Troy House Art, developing the organisation’s brand in the digital space and driving engagement and social participation.

Item 3: Organising all day-to-day space activities including Front-of-House duties and general venue maintenance

Item 4: Coordinating and overseeing the works our technicians and related agencies.

Item 5: Front of house event support including registration, checking event set up and client liaison

Item 6: Diary management to maximise meeting / event capacity

Item 7: Opening and closing of the venue, exhibition and AV switch on/off

Item 8: Provide knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and professional customer service to all visitors to the building

Item 9: Carry out daily checks on all spaces, ensuring they are safe, secure, clean, tidy and fully functional and that high standards of presentation are being met and adhered to at all times

Item 10: Liaison with contacts of the foundation, including galleries and other foundations.

Item 11: Liaison and meet regularly with the Director’s Assistant on progress of their works.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Item 1: Background in Fine Art / History of Art.

Item 2: Previous experience within galleries or art organisations

Item 3: Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written

Item 4: Ability to follow tasks through to completion

Item 5: The ability to prioritise effectively, managing a busy diary and varied workload to meet demands and deadlines

Item 6: A flexible approach in terms of work, changes and participation

Item 7: Ability to work flexibly as required including occasional evening and weekend working hours

Item 8: Be self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented and efficient.

Item 9: Good time management skills. Ability to manage competing workloads and remain calm under pressure

Item 10: The ability to work to your own initiative as well as in a team

Item 11: Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook

Item 12: Bonus: Have worked in Galleries and Art organisations before

Item 13: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
