An internationally recognized contemporary gallery in Miami seeks a part-time gallery assistant.

Candidates must be friendly and engaging to all visitors of the gallery. - Work closely and harmoniously as a team member with gallery staff on all aspects of gallery administration to facilitate the smooth functionality of the gallery program.

Responsibilities
  • Handling client calls and visits

  • Handling general email correspondence

  • Producing digital materials/assets for the gallery

  • Organizing all gallery images via Adobe Photoshop and Dropbox

  • Updating inventory and client records in Artlogic as needed

  • Help schedule and maintain social media engagement

  • Research and compile information for texts

  • Updating Website components as needed

  • Drafting email campaigns

  • Provide remote support to staff who are traveling

  • Maintaining gallery calendar (include important artist and gallery dates/art world events/birthdays)

  • Help aid in all openings and special events

  • Assist with gallery maintenance to ensure an exceptional client and visitor experience

  • Knowledge of the gallery, its mission, program, and artists

  • Ensure effective internal communication so that colleagues have sufficient and timely information to achieve their goals

  • Support during exhibition installations

  • Bilingual a plus

Requirements
  • Friendly, helpful, and outgoing attitude

  • Knowledge of Apple computers Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop

  • Familiar with inventory management or cataloguing

  • High organized, consistent, and reliable

  • Team player

Must be available for gallery installations, openings and other events as needed, which may take place over weekends or fall outside normal gallery hours and may include travel.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Schedule:

  • 21 hours a week, 3 days of week (including Saturday) + special events
