Jack Hanley Gallery is seeking a Full-Time Gallery Assistant / Registrar to start immediately.

  • General administrative support and assistance in daily operations of the gallery

  • Obtain shipping quotes, organize and oversee local, domestic and international shipments

  • Maintain and update inventory database and organize digital files

  • Maintain and organize physical inventory on-and off site

  • Assistance in managing and coordinating schedules for installation of exhibitions and art fairs

  • Light art handling

  • Receive and Release shipments

  • Maintain and update website and digital photographic archive

  • Field press requests for images and information and send out announcements

  • Stocking the gallery office and packing supplies



  • Minimum of 2 years experience as gallery assistant, registrar or related field

  • Experience in organizing art shipments

  • Friendly, positive and professional manner

  • Demonstrated interest in the contemporary art world at large

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multitask, and work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in Adobe Suite, Mac and G Suite

Gallery hours are 11-6, Tuesday through Saturday. Flexibility is needed during art fairs, openings and the installation and breakdown of exhibitions.
