We are looking for General Antiques Appraiser who is specialized in Antiques. The company is based in NYC. This is remote work and a part-time position.
Responsibilities
Answer additional questions from clients. Track requests and make sure clients receive answers in a timely manner. Request further information from clients if necessary. Provide the clients with guidance on potential selling opportunities or buying opportunities.
Each assignment is paid by the hour or a flat fee, by mutual agreement.
Requirements
He/She should have a Master of Arts in Art History from a reputable university.
Be fluent in English.
Preferably, has training and experience by working as assistants to specialists in retail stores, galleries, and auction houses.
Answering our online appraisal requests.
Ensuring appraisal requests are handled to the highest standard of accuracy and in a timely manner. Experience from the art market as an appraiser with credentials from leading appraiser organizations.
Preferably with experience from doing online appraisals. Experience from searching in databases with art and antiques.
Ability to work independently, detail oriented, accurate, discreet, dependable and resourceful. Strong written communication skills and customer service minded.
