The National Association of Women Artists, Inc. (NAWA) aims to promote awareness of and interest in visual art created by women in the United States.

NAWA is looking for an experienced grant writer. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive director and should be a self-starter, decisive decision-maker, incredibly organized, enthusiastic, and high energy.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing proposals by determining the concept

  • Gathering and formatting information

  • Writing drafts

  • Obtaining approvals

  • Submitting grant applications and required documents.

  • Entering submitted grants into the NAWA database.

Grant Writer Qualifications / Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of grants.gov

  • Strong interest in art

  • Strong organizational and follow up skills, attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask under multiple deadlines

  • Available now with a minimum commitment of three months

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Media, or related field

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in grant writing, prospect research and general fundraising
