In the heart of downtown New London, the Garde Arts Center is Southeastern Connecticut’s non-profit home for the performing arts, cinema and arts education. Serving a small, vibrant waterfront city of 28,000, the GAC, widely respected as a cultural, civic and economic catalyst, owns and operates the historic (1926) 1420-seat Garde Theater - nationally acclaimed for its restored interior, marvelous acoustics and digital cinema system - the 100-seat Oasis Room, and an “arts block” of four adjacent office buildings. With an annual operating budget of $2.2 million, the GAC presents the best in touring performing arts, contemporary, classic and independent film, and hosts regional arts organizations.

The Marketing Director will be responsible for strategic planning and execution of all sales and communication efforts; printed and digital collateral; advertising, media and public relations plans; sponsor development and management; patron relations/events; web and digital media efforts; and community outreach and audience development. The position is a critical community face for the institution, assists in programming and reports to the Executive Director.
