Join Parlor as Marketing Manager and promote Parlor’s mission to unlock the art market. Work closely together with the leadership of the company including the CEO, our investors (incl. Graeme Waitzkin from Frog Design) and key advisors. You will play the central role in driving the company’s mission forward to open up the art market to the thousands of art enthusiasts that have never bought art before.

You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the company by setting the marketing strategy and executing experiments to drive customer acquisition. A big part of this role will be communicating the stories of amazing artists, contextualizing their cultural relevance, and driving success for the galleries and institutions with whom we partner.

Salary: $50,000.00–$70,000.00 + 0.1–0.5% equity

(Yearly salary pending prior experience)

Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the company by setting the marketing strategy and executing experiments to drive customer acquisition. You will define our core customer segments, expand the channels to acquire customers, and design the customer experience from the first touch-point to managing our long-term customer engagement. A big part of this role will be communicating the stories of amazing artists, contextualizing their cultural relevance, and driving success for the galleries and institutions with whom we partner.

You will own the customer experience

  • Understand the customer journey and create meaningful relevant communications to guide and support movement through the marketing funnel through social media, email, paid, PR and partnerships.

  • Design an effective lifecycle marketing strategy to drive customer onboarding, engagement, and retention (incl. email, site content, and product features).

  • Drive top of funnel growth through marketing experiments (paid and non-paid, PR, influencers, etc).

  • Manage our content, social media, and email marketing and PR strategy.

  • Provide weekly reporting, insights and analysis to measure and improve the effectiveness of existing marketing initiatives and partnerships.

  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, product and engineering teams.

Requirements

You have

  • A creative and strategic mindset with a get-it-done attitude.

  • Experience with owning customer acquisition and retention programs, preferably within an arts, online marketplace, or e-commerce environment.

  • Fluency in Google Analytics.

  • Understanding of tracking, ad formats, lookalike audiences, trends and best practices in paid digital media, as a result of direct, hands-on experience.

  • Experience in email marketing, segmentation, and customer flow automation.

  • Strong copywriting skills with an eye for great ad creative; Photoshop design skills a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience with affiliate marketing programs a plus.

  • Experience with communications and PR is a plus.

This is a full-time position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $50,000–$70,000 and equity ranges from 0.1–0.5%.
