This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work with an editorial and creative team to conceive, develop and deliver a broad range of high-quality motion graphics projects across a number of visual styles and outcomes – from conceptual motion-design, to moving-image title design and motion typography, through to exciting commercial projects and quick-response social media content.

Responsibilities

You will be working directly with a very talented and diversely skilled team of designers, writers and editors, to continue the expansion of The Face magazine; this is an amazing chance to work with, and learn from, the best - no matter what your aesthetic.

We’re a small company and a tight team - we work collaboratively, we let you know what’s going on and want you involved in what we are creating - The Face is a team of individual talents, working together to create something different, something that reflects those that are making it.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with at least 3-4 years’ experience working as a motion designer and has a showreel exploring typography, moving-image and editing.

  • Has a good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - most important being AfterEffects, Illustrator & Photoshop, with Indesign and Cinema 4D, a bonus, though not essential.

  • You’re someone who knows and likes what The Face is doing, but also sees where you could add something to our visual identity.

  • You have your own cultural interests, whether it’s music-based, or art galleries or movies - there are things that you want to bring in and celebrate.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to share their vision, and work closely with their team to realise the tasks given to them.

  • Ability to work independently and manage more than one project at a time, and to liaise with their team throughout.

  • Ability to illustrate and/or visualise articles with original content when briefed by the editorial team

  • Has a keen interest in keeping on top of the latest developments in motion graphics and animation, and the ability to bring this into your work accordingly.
