BIG seeks a Digital Asset Management Onboarding Assistant to coordinate the implementation of a recently acquired digital asset management system alongside the Archivist, IT, Communications departments. The candidate will organize large volumes of digital assets for ingesting, ensuring files are tagged with accurate metadata, applying role-based permissions, documenting policies for the BIGster user community, and training. The right person will be an effective communicator with a strong understanding of managing digital assets according to professional practice.
Work directly with archivist, stakeholders, and vendor to establish strategy, implementation, and workflow designs of the digital asset management system
Contribute to best practices and provide quality control for all metadata, tagging, and file naming to ensure accuracy and consistency
Work with archivist to create taxonomies within digital asset management system
Document and communicate problems to vendor during onboarding process
Ingest and tag digital assets
Develop documentation and cataloging manual
Assist with user training
Other Ad hoc projects as needed
Join us on this mission if you are an Information Professional who has:
A degree(s) in Library, Information Science, Archiving, Digital Asset Management, Information Systems or equivalent degree / professional experience
Knowledge of archival standards, digital standards, and collections management
1-2 years’ experience working with digital asset and/or content management tools
Experience supporting or implementing new processes and systems
High level of comfort with content-related software and digital file formats
Understanding of the design-built environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, great listener, diplomacy skills, tact and sensitivity
Skilled at influencing and creating a collaborative approach across all departments and teams.
Ability to balance conflicting priorities and work flexibly
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills
Fluent proficiency in English: Danish and Spanish is a plus
