Part Time House Manager
Artist's home/studio
Los Angeles (east side) artist and his partner seek a thoughtful, detail oriented, part-time house manager to help oversee their household. House manager will work closely with the artist’s studio staff, household staff and personal assistant to oversee day to day household administration, repairs, and upgrades.
The ideal candidate has some experience overseeing vendors in construction or interior design related projects, coordinating staff schedules, and working in a domestic setting. Experience handling artworks and collectible furniture is also a plus.
Must be organized, efficient and have excellent communication and problem solving skills. Flexibility is a must.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing the upkeep, cleaning and maintenance of home and grounds
Coordinating and managing household repairs as they arise
Helping to oversee household upgrades and re-design projects
Managing security systems, cameras and other household electronics and appliances
Helping to oversee household staff (housekeeper, nanny, personal chef) to ensure that all needs are met
Relaying preferences to housestaff and troubleshooting staffing issues
Supervising day to day and long term calendars for household maintenance and upgrades, housestaff schedules, and family travel
Occasional assistance with facilities/upgrade projects at artist’s studio in coordination with studio staff
Keep an updated house manual and create instructions for
Coordinating care for family dog
Occasional coordination of family events and dinner parties
The schedule is 25 hours/week. Preferably 5 hours/day, 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have some flexibility if emergencies arise on nights and weekends.
Salary range is $45,000-$55,000 depending on experience.
Bilingual, English and Spanish, is preferred.
