Part-Time Sales Director

M+B is seeking a Part-Time Sales Director to join our team during an active exhibition season. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards. This role requires precise organization, an exacting eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced gallery environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cultivate and develop client relationships to drive sales and engagement

  • Serve as liaison between the gallery and its represented artists

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of each artist’s practice, biography, and current body of work

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with collectors, curators, press, and museum professionals

  • Oversee sales follow-up, invoicing coordination, and inventory tracking in collaboration with the operations team

  • Represent the gallery at openings and select events

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contemporary art sales, artist management, or related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in database and CRM systems (Artlogic experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion

  • A proactive, resourceful approach and enthusiasm for collaboration

This is a part-time, temporary position based in West Hollywood, ideal for an experienced sales professional. The position will run end of November/early December through April 2026. Pay will be hourly and commission based.
