Large artist’s studio seeks Personal Assistant for internationally renowned artist. The individual in this role will work closely with one other assistant in the department and under the supervision of the Operations Manager and the Studio Director to support and manage a wide range of administrative and personal tasks. The PA must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while remaining calm and positive. Candidates should be committed, smart and hard working. Attention to detail and flexibility are key. Must work well with others and know when and how to ask for assistance from other team members. Must be organized, able to multi-task, and sensitive to matters of confidentiality and discretion.

Some administrative or gallery experience is preferred but not required.

Benefits include health care, vacation time, paid sick days and holidays, mileage reimbursement and 401K after one year.

Schedule is full-time, 5 days a week.

Hours are 9am to 6pm with occasional calls and coordination outside of those hours.

Responsibilities

Tasks vary from day to day from include the following:

  • Manage and oversee artist’s day to day events, appointments, and meetings.

  • Serve as the point of contact between artist and their staff regarding scheduling and correspondence.

  • Manage and oversee artist’s demanding work and personal schedule in Google calendar with strong attention to detail.

  • Manage and oversee artist’s meticulous travel plans and itineraries for work and personal trips including flights, accommodation, and transportation.

  • Assist in managing artist’s custody and childcare schedule.

  • Make sure that artist’s personal needs are met including meals, filling prescriptions, and making and tracking doctor’s appointments.

  • Coordination of personal and professional events.

  • Errand running and travel between artist’s studio and residence nearby.

  • Ad hoc tasks and various other administrative duties to be expected.

  • Caring for artist’s dog.

Requirements

Candidate MUST currently reside in Los Angeles.

Needs to have a valid CA driver’s license, a reliable car and a clean driving record.

Must be comfortable around dogs.
