Wiseman Studio is seeking a full-time sales assistant to work with the Studio Partner and Studio Manager to provide administrative and sales support.
Wiseman Studio a busy multi-faceted artist studio and gallery located in Frogtown. Working across bronze, ceramic, and other various mediums, the studio creates intricate site-specific installations, furniture, lighting fixtures, and objects.
Assist with all sales and post-sales administration, including drafting and tracking offers; tracking outstanding payments, production status, and shipping arrangements; and other tasks as needed
Liaise with clients, designers, and galleries on behalf of Partner and Studio Manager, as needed
Update database of inventory and contacts, organize physical inventory of works
Assist with archiving photos, drawings, and press
Support Partner, Artist, and Studio Manager to develop social media strategy and prepare scheduled posts
Participate in weekly production schedule meetings
Assist with photoshoot days, including set-up, breakdown, etc.
Manage studio calendar, schedule studio visits and viewings
Greet all visitors and accept incoming deliveries
2-3 years of experience working in a gallery, museum, arts nonprofit, etc.
Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Organized and detail oriented with excellent follow through
Demonstrate initiative and ability to “self-manage”
Experience with art database programs (Artlogic, Artbase, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to drive to vendors and suppliers in the area (mileage is reimbursable)
Full time position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Studio hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
