Sales Associate for a gallery/shop selling fine American crafts: jewelry,

glass, ceramics, wood, textiles and works on paper. We are looking for an energetic individual who is detail-oriented and comfortable wearing many hats throughout the workday. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Our store has a reputation for unique merchandise and care for the customer.

Duties and skills required:

• Sales for a gallery/shop selling fine American crafts: jewelry,

glass, ceramics, wood, textiles and works on paper

• Assist customers as well as vendors and artists

• Co-manage and maintain website and social media sites with the rest of the staff

(website is used for sales and must be kept updated with images and item descriptions)

• Sales of merchandise both in the store and on the web

• Outreach to customers regarding new merchandise and follow up on special

orders

• Manage daily email communications as well as those for special events and openings

• Receive new inventory, store merchandising, and maintenance of store appearance

• Retail experience desirable

• Availability some Saturdays essential
