Summary: Join Parlor in as a Sales Manager and promote Parlor’s mission to unlock the art market. Work closely together with the leadership of the company including the CEO, our investors, and key advisors. You will play the central role in driving the company’s mission forward to open up the art market to the thousands of art enthusiasts that have never lived with art before.

You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the company by setting the marketing strategy and executing experiments to drive customer acquisition. A big part of this role will be communicating the stories of amazing artists, contextualizing their cultural relevance, and driving success for the galleries and institutions with whom we partner.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 (Yearly Salary)

Responsibilities

About the position:

As Sales Manager you will report to the CEO. You will take ownership of the core B2B sales initiatives, strategic partnerships, and trade (real estate, interior) programs for Parlor, and build sales strategy, supported by our investors at Frog Design and our advisor Christiane Fischer-Harling, former CEO of Axa Art Insurance.

what you’ll do

  • discover and meet with customers on both sides of our market - galleries, museums, and B2B clients and individual customers

  • help develop and iterate our go-to-market strategy - including sales, marketing and pricing

  • drive and prioritize a sales pipeline for B2B clients, real estate agents and developers, and interior designers

  • identify strategic partnerships (within the art, luxury, and home space)

Requirements

You have:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or new business development

  • strong verbal and written communication skills - constructing clear narratives and articulating clear solutions

  • you love people

  • comfortable making decisions with limited or imperfect information

  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

  • a solid understanding of the art world (not needed, but a plus)

  • a creative and strategic mindset with a get-it-done attitude

  • exceptional organizational and project management skills

This is a full-time position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $50,000–$70,000 and equity ranges from 0.1–0.5%.
