Los Angeles based artist seeking a skilled Screen Printer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in screen printing techniques, an excellent attention to detail, and a keen eye for accuracy. As a Screen Printer, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the production of large scale artworks and will work closely with a studio team to help execute.

The is project based and the hours would be flexible and determined by the

artist’s studio schedule. The ideal candidate would be available daytime, with flexibility on evenings and weekends when necessary. This is a temporary full time position at $27/hr.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, focused, and can take direction well. It is important that the candidate is reliable and has their own transportation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Prepare, coat screens, and expose screens.
Ensure screens are properly aligned for printing.
Mix and match paints and inks according to artist specifications.
Conduct color tests to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Set up and operate screen printing equipment.
Monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve any printing issues that may arise.
Provide input on technical aspects of the printing process to enhance

the final product.

Inspect prints for color accuracy, registration, and overall quality.
Identify and address any defects or imperfections in the prints.
Maintain and clean equipment regularly.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience in screen printing, preferably in an artistic or studio setting.
Familiarity with various screen printing techniques and equipment.
Proficient in color mixing and matching.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve printing issues.
Keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality prints.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
Willingness to learn and implement new techniques.
