Lecture in Progress are looking for a senior project and account manager to oversee and lead the operations of Lecture in Progress. We’re looking for someone with passion for education and the creative world who is interested in providing opportunities to others and making a lasting impact to the future wellbeing and diversity of the creative industry.
The role has two main focusses; maintaining quality and smooth-running of our operations internally, alongside leading, overseeing and developing our work with clients and partners externally. This person will work closely with our editor to broadly lead the strategy, growth, execution and efficiency of the platform.
As we are a small team (currently two editorial and one project manager) this is a hybrid role, covering lots of different tasks, so being proactive, energetic and a natural problem solver and prioritiser is essential.
Salary: £30,000 p.a

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (flexible hours between -8am – 7pm except Fridays)

Overseeing and managing the production of physical events and online content
Overseeing and managing budgets and timelines – reporting on top-line finances and efficiency
Reviewing and analysing operations and proposing changes where necessary
Overseeing multiple briefs and projects
Managing the project management team (currently one direct report)
Overseeing our management and contact with our brand partners and advertisers
Scoping, quoting and contracting the biggest, most important projects with clients
Managing client relationships with our partners
Overseeing and managing external events
Pitching and presenting to clients and partners
Proactively seeking new business leads and relationships
Securing new business across our commercial offerings including Brand Partners and other initiatives
Overseeing individual and company membership
Speaking publicly about Lecture in Progress where necessary
Excellent communicator with both clients, collaborators and internal teams
Highly organized and detail orientated, capable of managing large scale production timelines and budgets
Process-driven, organized and methodical with a high attention to detail orally, in writing and numerically
Capable of reporting and analysing project performance
Confident in negotiating and scoping new project briefs
Experience in Adobe creative software is recommended, but not essential
The ability to keep calm under pressure, with a consistent, positive can-do attitude
Positive and proactive problem solver, providing solutions and welcoming new challenges
Self-sufficient and able to use initiative when encountering challenges
Culturally astute and aware of the creative industry around them
Experience:
Project management experience managing small to large scale projects from conception through to implementation
Broad experience across production, from scoping to execution; keeping teams on track, on time and in budget
Experience delivering client-facing projects combining account management, project management and production
Experience in successfully leading a small team to deliver results
