Shop / Fabrication Assistant
Dennis Lin Studios is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Fabrication Assistant with a strong commitment to craftsmanship and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Dennis and the fabrication team, contributing to projects from inception through installation. The ideal applicant is detail-oriented, able to follow direction, and capable of managing tasks independently.
Responsibilities
Sanding, grinding, and finishing materials
Fabrication of artworks
Installation of artworks
Assisting with various studio tasks as required
Requirements
Experience in a fabrication or workshop environment
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment
Skilled in working with wood and metal, including general material handling
Welding experience
Willingness to learn and adapt based on feedback
Basic construction knowledge
Certification for working at heights and/or lift operation
