Rago/Wright/LAMA is looking for experienced Fine Art Specialist to join our growing Los Angeles team. Qualified candidates will be highly knowledgeable in fields of modern and contemporary art. This position requires a passionate and hard-working individual with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and execute across a wide range of tasks.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
Developing new client relationships and executing client outreach, for both the buying and selling side of the business
Managing consignments and the consignor relationship throughout the consignment process Working with a team of specialists to field, price and negotiate consignment inquiries
Developing proposals
Answering auction related inquiries; creating and distributing auction related materials, including condition reports
Assisting with auction day tasks as needed
Assisting with pre-auction exhibition staffing, and speaking to the clients about property
Working with other internal teams, including research, cataloguing, marketing, and retail to produce content, scholarship and expand marketing possibilities
Requirements
Experience required:
5 years experience in a gallery, auction house or arts-related organization
A minimum of a BA degree, preferably in Art, Art History or Design
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
The ideal candidate will also possess:
- Prior knowledge or experience in the auction industry
