The Store Manager will helm sales and operations of our new retail store, based in Atwater Village. Our first-ever store opens in late fall, and we’re looking for an upbeat, highly competent and experienced sales person to lead our successful store launch.
Under the supervision of the Business Director, you’ll hold a comprehensive knowledge of both product and client and remains dedicated to the service of both. We’re seeking someone with a keen sense of attention to detail in all aspects of operations, who can meet the highest standards of luxury customer service, creatively foster sales growth, and increase the efficiency of our daily operations while working within Block Shop’s policies and procedures.
Success of the store manager is measured equally by overall store sales growth, customer satisfaction, fluency with store sales performance and analysis, and maintenance of the Block Shop Textiles standards. For the first ~six months, you will be running our store single-handedly, however the full team will be on site from Monday-Friday for questions and support
Run Block Shop’s store, sales and all facets of retail experience for Block Shop’s first store
Understand and embody the epitome of BST’s brand of luxury customer service (in order to lead flawlessly by example for all staff during the holidays.)
Manage floor for optimal customer service, conversion and loss prevention
Manage and facilitate to the utmost standards in store appearance, operations, and general merchandising standards
Maintain extensive product knowledge of all vendors and styles
Maintain fluent knowledge of inventory systems and point of sale software to be expert in BST policy and procedure
Manage schedule with Business Director for consistency, efficiency, and adequate coverage at all times of year
Manage personal payroll punches and report hours to Business Director, and continue to do the same for sales staff once hired
Personally engage with all top customers and commit to fluency with their names, preferences, and personalities
Follow and develop customer service outreach initiatives and own the store’s client development, management and retention
Three to five years management experience in a retail or customer service environment
A commitment to delivering top notch, personalized customer service
A detailed understanding of fit and construction as pertains to maintaining expert product knowledge
A love for the brands and categories BST carries
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to maintain
systems of inventory management
Experience managing multi-brand sales and customer service
Innate curiosity to explore and understand a growing business
Self-motivated, scrappy, self-starter
Sense of humor, upbeat attitude
