Gagosian is expanding the Madison Avenue Art Handling Team. We are inviting qualified candidates to join our Part-Time Art Handling Network, with potential for full-time employment at our Upper East Side location. If you’re an experienced Art Handler with a desire to contribute to a fast-paced dynamic team driven environment, this opportunity is for you.

Qualified candidates should have four or more years experience handling high-value works for an art gallery, museum, professional art studio, or transportation service. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, a pleasant demeanor, a flexible schedule, and a willingness to jump into any task. You should be able to complete tasks with minimal instruction, and work well within a diverse team setting.

Our Part-Time Art Handler Network is integral to our success as a team. Candidates will participate in completing a multitude of tasks and long-term projects with full-time staff. This includes daily gallery maintenance, organization of tools and supplies, as well as exhibition installation, packing, and inventory management.

The Part-Time Art Handlers we rely on must have strong working knowledge of soft-packing materials, and the ability to pack works in shadow boxes, slip cases, crates and t-frames. This also includes inner-crate bracing systems, Oz-clips, wall fasteners, and handling hinged works on paper.
