ARTA is a contemporary logistics platform for shipping specialized items such as artwork, antiques, furniture and jewelry; supporting galleries, auction houses, interior designers and private individuals. The candidate is required to have experience working in the high-end shipping industry, with a willingness to work across business functions and with an interest in helping further develop ARTAs proprietary product. MAIN DUTIES:
Shipping:
Work with ARTA’s approved list of vendors to source quotes and provide quotes for clients via the ARTA platform
Liaise with vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shippers and clients to actively manage air, road and sea freight shipments.
Provide updates to customers on shipment status from collection to final delivery via ARTA platform or email as needed
Resolve shipping issues that may arise to ensure ARTA’s customers are fully satisfied with our service
Product development
- Work alongside the Product Team to continually improve the ARTA platform; providing client feedback, improving pricing data and expanding route offerings
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of specialized shipping, including international air & sea import/export - minimum 2-3 years experience
Experience with freight forwarding, 3PL and white glove services a plus
Ability to simultaneously and efficiently project manage multiple shipments under pressure; delivering a responsive and high-quality service for clients
Provide technical shipping expertise to clients and internal teams
Ability to be adaptable and desire to go above and beyond in a fast growing and changing environment
Desire and Interest to work in a Startup environment
Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent English is a must and other languages a plus
Interest or understanding of the art and design markets
