ARTA, an NYC based startup focused on adding technology to the high end, specialized transport space, is looking for an experienced international shipping manager to help set and maintain international shipping strategy, manage international shipping coordinators and supply chain across its global network of specialized 1st/last mile shippers, airfreight and 3PL services.
High-level Responsibilities
Set and maintain international logistics strategy, procedures and protocols
Organizing and managing international shipping team members to support company initiatives
Manage relationships and performance of new and existing vendors
Manage relationships with and monitor performance of our international logistics partners; oversee development of systems and processes to continually improve performance
Collaborate with all ARTA stakeholders to improve and advance the products, services and features that ARTA has to offer for their international services.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience managing complex, global logistics
Desire and Interest to work in a Startup environment
Strong Problem Solver with the curiosity on how to use technology to streamline business processes
Demonstrated track record of solving complex strategic and operational problems
Superior business judgment coupled with logical, data-driven and fact-based approach
Experience in operational scalability and best practices
Ability to see the big picture while maintaining close attention to detail
Appreciation for balancing high-touch service with operational efficiency
NYC-based
Experience with freight forwarding, 3PL and white glove services a plus
Interest or understanding of the art market a plus
