We are looking for intelligent, energetic, focused, curious people that excel under extremely challenging circumstances to join us as paint apprentices for our Los Angeles based production team.
If you can use a brush that’s great, but if you’ve painted houses that’s actually better. We can teach you to paint but we cannot teach you to be unstoppable. You will need to have achieved that before you found Colossal. If you’ve ever landscaped, framed a house, worked in a kitchen, done time in the military, been a roofer (or worked anywhere that is both physically and mentally difficult) then we’d love to meet you.
We are a no bullshit solutions based biz, this approach has not only allowed us to set the standard for quality in our industry but also reset that standard on a daily basis.
Requirements
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is both mentally and physically intensive and our standards at Colossal are uncommonly high. As a baseline, we work really long hours and work many days without breaks outside in the elements year around. Our expectation for those who complete our apprenticeship program is to go on to make great murals with us by leading or supporting large production teams while also teaching and training as we go. A paint apprenticeship lasts one year and is just the beginning of a long term commitment to the Colossal team.
REQUIREMENTS
The Basics:
Superior work ethic
Zero fear of heights
Adaptability, persistence, talent, and positive attitude
A home in LA
A good alarm clock
Ability to travel up to 1 week/month
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Valid driver’s license and a dislike for seasonal IPAs/Cider is required
