Our San Francisco based art advising firm is seeking a full-time administrative assistant/registrar. This position involves providing administrative support to the business manager, as well as shipping and registration services for our clients and general office support.
We are a small, team-based firm where the staff works collaboratively to develop art collections and provide collection management services for our clients. We’re seeking a new team member who will be responsible for all logistical aspects of shipping artwork locally, nationally, and internationally, as well as handling vendor invoices and providing accounting support. The team member will also be responsible for detailed record keeping in our FileMaker Pro collection management database.
In addition to registration, the position involves administrative support including managing the office library, sorting mail, answering phones, doing research, and assisting with special projects.
The ideal candidate is a flexible and detail oriented multi-tasker who can anticipate the needs of our team and work independently. The role will include providing support to our partners and other team members on an as needed basis.
Excellent organizational, computer and office skills are a must, as is flexibility. Preference given to candidates with administrative experience in an art organization. Experience with accounting tasks, shipping, and FileMaker Pro are a plus. The growth track for this position is in the area of accounting / office management.
