CCA recently launched the public phase of the multi-year, $123M Maker/Meets/Future Campaign to expand scholarships, strengthen programs, and build a major campus expansion in San Francisco.

The Advancement Assistant is a key player on the CCA Advancement team, providing vital administrative support for individual donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship programs. This position supports the success of fundraisers across the individual giving program, including annual fund, major gifts, planned gifts, and prospect engagement.

The job responsibilities of this position will require time regularly spent on campus, and therefore the incumbent will be asked to follow the CCA vaccination requirement, unless an exemption is approved. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • The range for this position is $25.00 - 26.00 per hour.

  • CCA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including the choice of five medical plans, generous holiday, sick & vacation time, a retirement match and tuition remission. CCA covers an average of 91% of the medical plan cost for the employee only and an average of 82% for employees with dependents. POSITION DETAILS:

  • CCA considers a full-time work week to be 37.5 hours per week.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

  • Work Mode: Hybrid

  • This position is covered under the staff union collective bargaining agreement and will be required to contribute to union dues/agency fees.

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Office and Event Support - 50%

  • Serves as individual giving team’s point of contact for the CCA community and general public

  • Greets alumni, parents, friends, and current/prospective donors of the college, in person, by phone, and in writing; answers questions and screens inquiries for referral to appropriate staff/campus departments.

  • Drafts bread-and-butter letters as needed for frontline fundraisers and provides back up to the gift processing staff on drafting gift acknowledgement letters.

  • Provides administrative support to the Individual Giving team, and other staff as assigned.

  • Helps process invoices and purchase orders in a timely fashion.

  • Gathers information, produces materials, and distributes content to participants at or prior to meetings and events.

  • Calendars and provides administrative support for events for the individual giving team’s needs, including setting meetings, tracking RSVPs, and follow up tasks.

Fundraising and Communication - 45%

  • Supports cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of mid-level and major gifts

  • Works with database and research files to prepare customized stewardship reports and prospect briefing.

  • Regularly produces database reports and pulls lists to help guide fundraising strategy and/or solicitations.

  • Supports the moves management process through accurate and timely database updates in anticipation of and after events, donor meetings, and portfolio reviews.

  • Assists with prospect management review.

  • Conducts prospect research and outreach assistance, as needed.

  • Supports the development, design, and deployment of stewardship plans.

  • Troubleshoots technology issues and helps support systems including Raiser’s Edge.

  • Designs and creates fundraising collateral as needed.

Other - 5%

  • Performs additional duties as needed.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two-years of administrative experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage with a variety of constituents, including major donors and faculty.

  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments concurrently and with accuracy.

  • Ability to work well with staff, donors, faculty, and volunteers. Proven track record of working cooperatively as part of a team.

  • High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is preferred.
