For more than 30 years, ICArt has specialized in developing bespoke art experiences—from concept to installation—for corporate and private clients. We are seeking an experienced Art Consultant/Curator based in Miami to join our dynamic and passionate team starting January 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Artistic Director, Art Consultants, Architectural/Technical PM, Project Manager and Logistics as part of Project Team

  • Collaborate with Artistic Director and Art Team to develop curatorial direction and create curated art experiences

  • Source and commission artwork in consideration of aesthetics, brand, budget, timeline and technical aspects, managing documentation and information gathering in an orderly manner

  • Communicate with Client and Artists/Galleries, Fabricators, other sources

  • Support the development of art and framing database, art fair lists, sources lists, file archive, etc.

  • Support the art sourcing process throughout projects

  • Travel domestically and internationally to attend art fairs, project meetings, site visits and support during artwork installation

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Curatorial skills and passion for art

  • Knowledge of and experience with art, interior design and architecture

  • Understanding of the relationship between art and space and how this creates an experience

  • Involvement in the art world through regular attendance to art fairs, museum exhibitions, gallery shows, and an established network in the arts

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an art-related field

  • Proficiency in graphic design programs such as InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp is a plus

  • Fluent English (spoken and written) skills

  • Proficiency in Spanish

  • Based in Miami or Madrid
