Established and growing art services company and fabrication shop seeks a full-time experienced art handler with a strong administrative lean for immediate hire. If you are a lover of process and systems, but don’t want to spend all day just in a desk job, this is the perfect blend between the two.
We have a cooperative and collegial work environment and are looking for someone who is comfortable reaching out with questions, issues, and suggestions as they arise.
Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
Safely packing and transporting fine art and furniture
Ensuring that paperwork is accurate and keeping the office updated with on-site changes
Occasional on-site installation work
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
A solid professional background in packing and handling art and fine furniture; expert knowledge of best practices and materials
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to work well with our team and our clients
The ability to safely lift and carry large and heavy objects
A clean driving record, and the ability to drive a 16’ box truck around New York City and the surrounding area
