Experienced art handler
Responsibilities
Safe, expert handling of valuable and rare art objects
Proper packing of objects as determined by their physical construction and materials
Professional installation of all types of paintings, sculpture, tapestries, artifacts and electronic media
Cleaning of objects utilizing utmost case and selection of the appropriate cleaning materials
Condition reporting utilizing a precise knowledge of all materials, a comprehensive understanding of historical information regarding artists, time periods, manners of production and an acute eye for detail
Complete and maintain critical paperwork such as inventories, Bills of Lading, Project Sheets and Job Reports
Requirements
At least three years of experience art handling at a gallery, museum, or for an art handling company.
Pay based on experience.
