Hangman is currently looking for positive and hard-working art handlers / drivers in Los Angeles that are available for regional art shuttles. Born out of our love for art, music and traveling, Hangman is a fast-growing art services/transportation company based in Brooklyn, NY with warehouses in Los Angeles, Miami, FL and the Hamptons.
Responsibilities
Must be available to operate at least one 4-7 day SF shuttle run per quarter. (4 a year)
Safe packing and unpacking artworks of various types
Safely moving art to and from Hangman vehicles
Safely securing art on trucks
Assisting and/or leading in art installation
Client interactions
General knowledge of drills, levels, tape measures and knives
Performs other related duties as required
Punctual and communicative
Available 830am-6pm weekdays and occasional weekend
Operation and management of vehicle and cargo
Use of electronic logging device and associated software
Use of Hangman software during the course of work
Requirements
Must have 2+ years experience within Fine Art Services
Must have experience driving box trucks in the FAS setting
Packing experience
Art installation experience
Previous experience at an art services company, museum, or gallery
Ability to safely lift 40-50lbs individually
Valid/clean drivers’ license req’d
Ability to drive up to 26’ box truck (non CDL)
Ability to work independently
Basic knowledge of mechanical functioning of diesel trucks
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance as necessary (i.e. checking fluids, tires, identifying and managing vehicle issues as they arise)
Knowledge of DOT regulations and electronic logging device usage a plus
Knowledge of local and state roads a plus
Knowledge of art, music and travel a plus
