Shipping and art handling company with multiple openings for professional art handlers, technicians, and managers. This is a temporary, project-based position for the Art Basel Miami Beach fair.
Positions will involve working at the Miami Beach Convention Center location performing on-site work with our trucking/installation crews on an on-call basis.
Hourly rate, per diem, travel, and lodging provided for nationally based techs. Travel dates are November 26 through December 8, 2021.

Responsibilities
Perform under the direction of fair managers
Unload, unpack, and install artworks in gallery booths
Properly pack and deinstall artworks for safe transportation
Accurately complete paperwork and ensure that each item, package, or crate are labeled accurately and appropriately.
Generate accurate and descriptive condition reports and photo documentation when necessary
Communicate concerns, issues and/or problems with condition reports (condition of items), packing/crating orders, schedules, deadlines, etc. with management and project managers.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment onsite and on company trucks/vehicles.
Maintain confidentiality of clients’ personal property and privacy.
Requirements
Previous installation experience at a previous art fair and/or gallery, museum, fine fabrication, or private artist assistant experience.
Applicants must be able to safely lift 70 lb. with or without accommodation.
Attention to detail / organizational skills
Applicants must have positive, progressive attitudes - we are an inclusive team.
Experience working in groups by following instructions and taking initiative on all tasks that need to be accomplished as needed.
Good communication skills with managers, team, and galleries both in-person and via email, text, and WhatsApp.
The ability to work well with others with an emphasis on safety.
Various other duties on an as-needed basis may be assigned to you by your supervisor. Must adhere to temporary employment agreements.
