Job Summary:

To work on all aspects of removals, collections, deliveries and installations of personal effects, art and antiques under the management of immediate supervisor. Coordinate installations and assist with crew on site.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections and deliveries locally and interstate as needed.

  • Handle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goods.

  • Work with the team to ensure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifest.

  • Ensure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified by the

Dispatch Manager prior to making any modifications.

  • Proper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture

  • Installation abilities for projects.

  • Preparation of condition checks and condition reports.

  • Pack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storage

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of Cadogan Tate trucks.

  • Support the Warehouse Team as directed by the Manager

  • Assist with managing inventory, responsible for inventory in and out for jobs

  • Able to work and communicate effectively with a crew.

  • Must scan property to ensure accurate inventory locations are always maintained.

  • Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job.

  • On occasion you may be required to start your day or end your day at a location other than Cadogan Tate, in these instances you are required to complete a manual time sheet and to have this signed by the supervisor or your manager within 24 hours of the start or end of the day.

General

  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, and all other Company policies and procedures in place.

Operating Dimension/Decision Making Authority:

All decisions to be reviewed by manager initially. Once a level of operating authority has been reached decision making authority level will be reviewed and agreed.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma / GED required.

  • Two years of experience in moving and art handling industry; packing, handling and, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate basis

  • Two years of logistical, warehousing and moving experience

  • Driver responsibilities up to 26-foot box trucks

  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve on handling furniture, art and antiquities.

  • Solid problem-solving skills

  • Some familiarity with OSHA regulations

  • Solid organizational and time management skills

  • Strong communication and multitasking skills

  • Fluency in both English & Spanish is a Plus

  • Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting.

  • Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable in a results-driven workplace

  • Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, J-bars, dollies and other necessary standard logistics equipment

  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds and assist in the movement of objects of substantial size and weight without damage to objects or persons, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart. · Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead.
