We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Art Handler & Logistics Coordinator to join our close-knit team. This role involves art handling, packing and installation, as well as coordinating domestic and international shipping and logistics. The ideal candidate is practical, dependable, and eager to learn the standards of professional art care.
ART HANDLING
Pack, transport, and install artwork in galleries, private homes, and offices according to museum-level standards.
Maintain accurate inventory and condition reports; assist with cataloguing and labeling artworks.
Organize and maintain gallery storage areas and offsite warehouses, ensuring cleanliness and accessibility.
Proactively prepare for scheduled deliveries, installations, and deinstallations.
SHIPPING & LOGISTICS
Work with the gallery director to generate accurate shipping quotes for both incoming and outgoing artwork.
Coordinate local deliveries and communicate with third-party shippers, packers, and art handlers.
Manage shipping supplies, oversee inventory, and implement reuse and recycling policies.
Qualifications:
Valid Florida driver’s license and comfortable driving a Sprinter van.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools; strong awareness of safety procedures.
Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction and ask questions as needed.
Reliable, organized, and adaptable with a sharp eye for detail.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic settings — gallery, warehouse, and client sites.
Capable of safely lifting 50+ lbs alone and 75+ lbs as part of a team.
