U.S.Art Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Art Handler/Driver to join its regional office in Landover, MD location.
U.S.Art is the nation’s largest fine art handling company, covering domestic and international transportation, storage, packing and crating, and installation of fine art and museum objects.
Our Art Handlers pack, install and transport all manner of art and artifacts for galleries, collectors, and museums. Art Handlers may also assist in preparation of custom crates and boxes. Most work is done in a two-person team.
Company-paid travel will be required as needed. Travel varies from 1-2 overnight trips per week to longer week-long trips around the country.
Position starts at $22/Hr for an average work week of 30-40 hours.

Responsibilities
Pack all manner of artworks and artifacts in a variety of soft-packs and crates. Install and de-install all types of flatworks and sculptures.
Load, unload, and drive 14-24′ box trucks
Use basic hand tools and moving equipment, including tape guns, tape measures, glue guns, drills, j-bars, pallet jacks, dollies.
Requirements
Possess a valid Driver’s License.
Possess or obtain a DOT medical card, which requires completion of a basic physical exam.
Pass a pre-employment drug test.
Crouch, bend, grip, climb a ladder, and lift 50-100 lbs frequently.
