Essex Street/Maxwell Graham is seeking a Registrar/Art Handler to start immediately.
At least 3 years experience working in a gallery or art handling company is required. Expertise in packing and installing artworks is required. Professional experience in registration and collections management is preferred. Knowledge of art shipping standards and regulations is preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the packing, shipping and installation of artworks. Candidate will be responsible for handling consignments, loan agreements, shipping and custom forms.
Requirements
Candidate must be detail oriented, highly focused and precise.
Position is to be set in advance for 2-4 days a week, depending on candidate’s preference.
