Shield Moving is currently seeking part and full- time art handlers and mover to work 16-40 hours per week. As an art handler, you will be required to interact with Shield’s clients and take every precaution to ensure the safety of artworks and other fragile items. A minimum of 2 years of fine art handling is a plus.
Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
Suitable handling of artworks and furniture. Including loading and offloading for local transportation
Creative problem solving
Installation and Deinstallation of artworks and furniture
Proper completion of required paperwork (I.E. Bill of ladings, condition reports, etc.
Proper communication with clients and company managers.
May work a few weekends
Requirements
Position Requirements:
Ability to work in a team and take constructive criticism
Knowledge of all tools and hardware equipment
Problem solving on/off site
Capability of communicating with clients
