We are looking for an Shipper and Packer of Art work.

We are an art shipping company looking to add an in-house Shipper and Packer of Art work for the right individual. Experience with basic shipping and receiving procedures, excellent communication, and customer service skills, and light construction skills are required. Must have these skills to apply for this position if you do not you will not be considered.

WHO WE ARE:

We are an art delivery service business, and since 1998 we have been providing very specialized services to the Fine Arts Community, including pack-and-ship and door-to-door hand delivery of all types of fine art and antiques utilizing our fleet of customized vehicles and trained professional drivers.

We offer 401K, paid holidays, vacation after probationary period.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

Art Handler’s purpose is to assist in all aspects of the handling of artworks including art movement, (de)installations and storage, as well as the preparation and the packing of artworks, sensitive to the needs of art while being proactive in applying currently approved methods of packing, handling, and installation techniques.

Building custom boxes and wood crates.

Answering phone calls, taking customer orders, and giving shipping quotes.

Making local deliveries.

Occasional over the road trips lasting 3 to 4 days.

Inventory Management.

Trip Planning.

Provides friendly and professional service to customers, both on the phone and in person.

Works effectively on their own and as a group with co-workers and clients

Able to pack and handle the artwork for transport and installation.

Requirements

Experience in handling artworks, knowledge of fixings/hanging systems, art transport, packing and storage

Awareness/understanding of the different handling needs of paintings

Awareness/understanding of supports and frames

Light construction skills including the use of air stapler, miter saw router and other hand tools.
