The Jewish Museum:
Founded in 1904 and located on New York City’s Museum Mile, the Jewish Museum is dedicated to the enjoyment, understanding, and preservation of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Jewish people. The Museum maintains a unique collection of nearly 30,000 works of art, ceremonial objects, and media reflecting the global Jewish experience over more than 4,000 years. The Museum applies a contemporary lens to its exhibitions, which range from ancient to contemporary art.
The Jewish Museum seeks a grants manager and persuasive writer to play a key role securing and stewarding support from foundations, individuals, corporations, and government agencies for exhibitions and other Museum initiatives. The Associate Development Officer for Exhibitions will write highly effective grant proposals for exhibitions and special projects as needed; maintain and grow relationships with funders; and participate in creating funding plans and strategizing approaches to meet the Museum’s goals. The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer, a project manager, an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and able to meet all deadlines. A passion for the arts and a strong understanding of cultural funders is required.
