We are looking for an Associate Director of U.S. Marketing Communications to join our Communications team here in Birmingham, Michigan. This person will work directly with our U.S. leadership and our Global Communications team to enhance our image as an agency.
We need someone with a deft touch and a strategic mind who can partner with our U.S. business, creative and strategic leadership to successfully position the agency out in the marketplace. This person will have their finger on the pulse of the industry to identify (and create) meaningful opportunities for MRM to tell our story – beyond a media placement.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can develop comprehensive and integrated media relations and marketing plans – and use them to drive continued growth for the most successful and ambitious creative agency in the world.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
Drive awareness of our agency across the industry through media relations activation of the agency’s thought leadership, work and specialized products.
Understand the long-term market potential and opportunities that exist for the agency throughout the industry – partner with to develop strategic (and proactive) marketing communications plans that position us to capitalize on these opportunities.
Develop best-in-class content that is meaningful and relevant to industry stakeholders/press.
Build comprehensive communications plans for our U.S. teams to raise their profile and position them and MRM as industry experts.
Requirements
WHO YOU WILL BE…
8+ years of PR experience leading external and strategic PR initiatives either in-house or in an agency
Media relations expert
Demonstrated experience solving complex PR challenges for both an agency/brand and a client
Proven ability to interact with senior-level executives and press; strong interpersonal skills
Someone who has worked in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities and a variety of stakeholders
Fully integrated experience across traditional, social, digital, experiential, etc.
