The Arts Club of Chicago is looking for experienced art-handlers Applicants should be team-oriented individuals. There is no formal education requirement, although a familiarity with the arts is preferred.

Responsibilities

This is a part-time position with a variable work schedule that is dependent upon our exhibition schedule. Rate of pay is commensurate with experience. Lunch while working is included.

About The Arts Club:

Since 1916, The Arts Club of Chicago has been a preeminent exhibitor of international art, a forum for established and emerging artists, and a celebrated venue for performers from around the world. For over 100 years, The Arts Club has opened its membership to artists and patrons of the arts, and its exhibitions to the public. At its inaugural meeting, the mission of the Club was defined as: “to encourage higher standards of art, maintain galleries for that purpose, and to promote the mutual acquaintance of art lovers and art workers.”

Requirements

Team-oriented individual with a positive attitude and willingness to adjust to change.

Have a familiarity with and respect for fine art objects.

Rudimentary carpentry/fabrication and painting experience is a plus.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, reach in high and low places, and hold works in position for stretches of time.
