Content Marketing Writer

R507695

San Francisco

The Content Marketing Writer is a member of CCA’s Office of Marketing and Communications, an in-house strategic and creative team that proactively brings the college’s stories to a broad variety of audiences in support of CCA’s mission and its enrollment, reputational, and advancement goals. This role directly and critically supports our digital and content marketing strategy, and broadly supports the communications strategy for the division and the college.

Creative storyteller within brand standards

CCA seeks a versatile writer who centers creativity and community in their work. Equally aware of TikTok trends and the Chicago Manual of Style, this candidate voices different channels—websites, email, social media, and even zines—and adapts in tone and approach to engage people of all ages, especially Gen Z. The role creates messaging and marketing materials that communicate the CCA experience, drive enrollment goals, and increase brand awareness. Research and engagement with our community of artists, architects, designers, and writers are key to ensuring that the content marketing authentically captures the spirit of CCA.

Produce and publish

This role contributes to a wide variety of digital content platforms and incorporates SEO best practices in a seamless and conversational way. Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Content and Creative Strategy, you’ll research, write, and review content you produce, as well as that of others. Flexible and agile, you’ll manage multiple projects at once with competing timelines.

Student engagement and communication

The Content Marketing Writer partners closely with Enrollment Services to articulate key messages to prospective student audiences across the application process. You have a solid understanding of the recruitment cycle, from prospect to applicant to matriculated student, and your work will speak to these audiences, whether in a homepage headline, email stream, or virtual tour.
