Foxley Art and Design Services are a highly motivated team offering bespoke white glove moving and storage solutions to the luxury, interior design, and gallery industries, with customer satisfaction at our core.
We’re seeking Freelance and Full Time Drivers, Movers, and Art Handlers working from our West Hempstead facility. The ideal candidates would have 1-3 years’ experience working in white-glove moving and/or art handling with knowledge of safe packing and handling of art, furniture, and design objects.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Safe handling, packing, and transportation of furniture, art, sculpture, personal effects, and lighting
Knowledge of packing materials and their appropriate use
Furniture assembly/disassembly including the use of power tools where necessary
Troubleshooting and navigating locations with difficult access
Completing detailed photographic condition reports
Regular communication with both the office and clients
Daily vehicle and equipment inspections
Accurate completion of paperwork
Warehouse work including truck loading, unloading, packing, and other warehouse duties
Other work as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
Must be a team player
Punctual with excellent time management
Knowledge of a large variety of packing materials, tools, and hardware, and how to use them correctly
Able to plan and adapt as required to complete tasks
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unaided
Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend, overtime, and holiday work when needed
Valid to work in the US
