As a manager within the Advancement department, the Events and Collateral Production Manager builds donor experiences and solicitation and stewardship materials that inspire support for CCA. These experiences and content, tailored for target audiences, fall into two categories: 1) events-based experiences for groups of 25 to 500 people; including work on the annual gala, and 2) cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship collateral used by fundraisers across the department.
This position partners with staff at all levels in Advancement and coordinates with key collaborators in Marketing/Communications, Financial Aid, the President’s Office, Academic Affairs, Student Life, and others. Across all events, platforms, and experiences, the manager ensures the story of CCA and its future is communicated professionally, effectively, and consistently. Supervises the Advancement and Events Associate. Reports to the Director of Advancement Events and works closes with the Senior Vice President.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Events - 65%
Under the supervision of the Director of Advancement Events, responsible for planning and implementing:
approximately 4 to 5 annual events that are part of CCA’s ongoing program of donor cultivation and stewardship. These include the Wornick Award and the Simpson award receptions, select openings at the Wattis Institute, and others;
approximately 2-3 additional special events such as small receptions in donor homes or donor tours on campus.
Provides robust partnership and support for Director’s work planning and delivering annual gala generating $1M+.
Manages the budgets for assigned events and ensures funds are used effectively and within projections.
Manages vendor relationships and contracts.
Creates invitation lists through reports in Raisers Edge database
Uses Raisers Edge Events Module to track events activity.
Works closely with CCA facilities staff to keep event activities within CCA building usage guidelines and procedures.
Collateral Production - 30%
Under direction of the Senior VP, updates and creates select cultivation, stewardship and solicitation collateral that drives acquisition and renewal giving.
Works with key staff within and outside Advancement to source student, faculty, and alumni stories that will inspire donors.
Fulfills Senior VP strategies to create a core group of assets that can be repurposed for website, major gift, email, social media and other solicitation vehicles.
Ensures that key collateral is updated and in sync with evolving needs and content, including:
campaign web page;
master pitch deck; and
well designed and written print-on-demand cultivation/solicitation collateral that is templatized yet flexible.
Oversees work of contract designers and writers as needed.
Manages collateral production budget.
Creates CCA gifts to thank donors at specific gift levels or as leave behinds on donor calls. Gifts will reflect the mission, history and impact of CCA. Runs process of planning, creation and production of gifts.
Supervises Advancement and Events Associate - 5%
Supervises Advancement and Events Associate and oversees their work supporting 15+ events per year.
Supervises the Associate’s works as the executive assistant to the Senior VP, helping them problem solve and meet the administrative needs of the Senior VP.
Two years of nonprofit administrative support, project management and events experience.
