Immediate opening for an Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director at the Social and Public Resource Center (SPARC) located in Venice, California.
An ideal candidate is a college graduate with at least 4 years work experience and a demonstrated interest in public art, muralism, architecture, art education, or civic engagement fields. A Bilingual candidate with demonstrated experience and commitment to community organizing or other social justice related work in the non-profit sector is preferred.
Skills requirements are: knowledge of Los Angeles communities, strong Macintosh capabilities including photoshop, website building, comfort with handling large image files, excellent organizing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort with diverse populations.
Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as required for art openings and events. The successful applicant must be well organized and willing to work under deadlines and changing priorities.
