Downing Frames is a contemporary art framing studio specializing in the fabrication of handmade, museum-quality frames in NYC. We are looking to add a full-time experienced frame fitter who is a hardworking, detail-oriented team player. The ideal candidate works efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The applicant that we hire will have 3-5 years of framing experience and knowledge of archival hinging materials and techniques. You must be available for a Monday through Friday full-time job. Pay is based upon experience.
Responsibilities
Basic daily responsibilities include:
Fitting high-end art into custom frames
Art handling/packing art
Additional responsibilities include:
Cutting Museum Glass
Requirements
Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand frame designs
Experience handling and packing art
Experience with framing valuable art for high-end clients
