Facilities Manager
Artist's Studio
Los Angeles based artist’s studio seeks a full-time Facilities Manager. The ideal candidate has a background working in a gallery, studio, or museum. The applicant should be an excellent communicator, have a supportive attitude, and strong organizational skills. DIY skills and creative problem-solving abilities are strongly appreciated.
Oversee the care, maintenance, and improvement of all buildings, grounds, appliances, and equipment across several locations.
Coordinate with key studio staff to establish maintenance priorities and workflows for immediate and long-term goals.
Schedule and supervise repairs (mechanical, plumbing, roofing, electrical, etc.) with established studio vendors and build new vendor relationships when necessary.
Establish emergency protocols and operate as the point of contact for emergency responses.
Supervise the facilities tech.
Manage alarm systems, phones, studio vehicles, fencing, gates, and waste disposal.
Working closely and meeting regularly with the Studio Manager, Archivist, and HR and Operations Manager to ensure proper communication and that all needs are being met.
Experience with project management and supervision
Valid CA Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to use power tools and equipment safely
A working knowledge of construction (experience preferred)
Familiarity with the artworld
An eye for detail and aesthetic congruity
Ability to lift 30+ lbs unassisted.
Position is full time with benefits (healthcare, paid vacation, 401k)
Hours are M-F, 9am-6pm with occasional work outside of those hours in emergency situations.
Salary range is $60,000 to $75,000
