Role overview:

Reporting to the Head of Operations NY, the Facilities Manager will provide daily and long-term oversight and maintenance of all Lisson Gallery physical premises inside the NY State area. Key duties will include maintaining the daily appearance of the buildings, coordinating and supervising building maintenance related vendors and consultants.

The role will require a combination of office and offsite work, including state area travel.

The role will be based in New York.

Responsibilities

Key tasks:

  • Oversee facility maintenance of galleries, offices and residential locations; manage repairs and day-to-day maintenance. Including painting and patching, minor electrical and plumbing repairs.

  • Manage general construction projects and building repairs.

  • Coordinate outside vendors (e.g., HVAC, security, janitorial services); negotiate related maintenance service contracts, obtain and maintain COIs, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, including all required inspections and maintenance.

  • Plan and execute logistics for gallery openings and events (in collaboration with related teams).

  • Work with in-house IT team to troubleshoot day-to-day issues.

  • Manage and maintain supply ordering and stocking.

  • Liaise with the Gallery Manager and Head of Operations regarding ongoing and future construction projects.

  • Responsible for waste and Re-cycling management.

  • Managing the opening and closing schedule with input from the Gallery Manager and Head of Operations.

  • Ensuring the interior and exterior of the building are being maintained, including scheduling window washing, graffiti removal and maintaining sidewalks.

Requirements

Key skills required:

  • Proven facilities management capability.

  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, security systems and general building construction and maintenance.

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask without losing attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Strong financial acumen.

  • Ability to manage multiple spaces

  • Driving license

  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed for building repairs, events and emergencies.
